Bargain Shopper!

This weekend was spent going furniture shopping! Justin was a good sport but he's so over it. Poor guy. Prior to my shopping weekend, I had done months and months of research to ensure that I found the best deals. I wanted stuff that looked good, and that no strangers had slept etc. on :). And this is on a big budget. We ended up getting a couch, a chair and an ottoman today. Here they are:

I love them! Now on to my dilemma. I'm deciding between two kitchen tables. One I love better and one is cheaper. What do you all think? Is the first table $175 cuter than the second? I'm at odds with my inner fashionista and my bargain hunter. Help!

ithink the black dining room table is really awesome! I definitely think it is $175 more awesome than the other. Just think, a kitchen table is going to be around for awhile, you wanna be able to look at something cool for years to come right?

Hey darlin!
Ok, well... I will play devil's advocate here. First, I love the couch and chair/ottoman- great picks!! They will go with a lot of decor and throw pillows so that you can change it up without buying a new couch every year! :-)As for the tables, I do love the black table and chairs...BUT...knowing your decorating sense, if the tan one is MUCH cheaper then I would go for it. You can add table arrangements, a runner, cushions to the chairs, PLUS two more chairs at the end if you ever want to have 6 people sit at your table. The round table really limits you to 4 and is pretty heavy and distinct in its style so might prove to be less versatile. The tan one could be used down the road as a craft table for kids or any other number of things. I know it is hard to part from your fabulous sense of style, but if you are really trying to save a few bucks and maybe put that money towards something else (say home decor like stuff for the walls or other fun details) go for the cheaper, but still cute and very versatile table!

Ok, there are my two cents! I do love all of your findings and am excited for you in this very fun time of your life!
Love you darlin!

The black table is more your style. In the grand scheme of things $175 isn't that much and you will be sorry if you don't get the one you like best since the price is really not that much more.

Love the sofa and chair!

Love the couch set and love the black! It isn't worth saving the money on the other. :)

I would get the black table. To me, it is worth the $175 more. If it were me, I would spend a good portion of that $175 on seat cushions, centerpieces, etc. for the second choice table when I'd be happy with the more expensive one and miscellaneous decorative items that I already had. Plus, I'd end up replacing my second choice table/chairs sooner anyway and spend the money there.

The couches are awesome and you will totally beat yourself up for years to come if you don't get the black table. Every time you sat down to eat you would kick yourself and lament the loss of the cool table. Go for it!! :o)

Oh my, Allie K, you're just the best shopper, EVER! I think Jase and I decided we're not moving out until we're married, because it just makes more sense financially. Psh. He just thinks logically at all the wrong times! Tell me what email address to send a blog "invite" to -- having a public blog still scares me.
